Flintshire Fund

Why was the Flintshire Carbon Reduction Fund created?

The Flintshire Carbon Reduction Fund was established to help local businesses reduce their environmental impact in alignment with the Welsh Government's sustainability initiatives. Key legislative frameworks, such as the Well-being of Future Generations Act 2015, Environment (Wales) Act 2016, Climate Change Wales, and the Green Growth Pledge, emphasise the need for businesses to adopt sustainable practices. Funded by the UK Government and delivered in partnership with Antur Cymru, the fund was created by Flintshire Council to empower businesses within the region to develop actionable carbon reduction plans.

WHY PATHWAY TO CARBON ZERO?

Pathway to Carbon Zero was chosen as the preferred partner for their expertise and proven track record in sustainability. The organisation distinguishes itself by offering tailored, actionable roadmaps that support businesses of all sizes. Their comprehensive approach enables companies to thrive while contributing to a sustainable future.

  • Conducting a guided GAP analysis for each participant to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Delivering personalised carbon reduction plans tailored to each business's operations, enhancing their sustainability practices.

This structured approach ensured businesses not only reduced their environmental impact but also realised cost savings and operational efficiencies, improving their market competitiveness.
